- This document outlines the Copyright Code of Conduct (the “Code”) for members and presenters of the Southern African Association for Institutional Research (SAAIR). It is designed to protect the interests of the association, its members, presenters, and all other stakeholders — including contributors, sponsors, and partner institutions — against issues such as copyright infringement (e.g., unauthorised use of presentation slides), plagiarism (e.g., using research without attribution), and violations of data protection regulations (e.g., sharing participant data without consent), including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) in South Africa and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe.
